Technology Test Kitchen
The Technology Test Kitchen was created by the WSU Provost’s Office and Academic Outreach and Innovation to help staff and faculty try out the latest educational technologies in a supportive environment.
The Test Kitchen is located in Holland 150 at WSU Pullman. In spring 2015, the Test Kitchen each week explored such tools as 3-D printers, Google Cardboard, cell-phone videos, lecture capture technologies, and quick-response systems.
In 2015-2016, the Test Kitchen is focusing on topics that include Panopto, Blackboard Learn, the Lightboard and immersive technology (360-degree cameras, augmented reality and virtual reality). Faculty and staff with questions about educational technologies are also invited to stop by Holland 150 anytime during business hours.
New this year is the Mobile Technology Test Kitchen, which brings customized training to colleges and departments. Common topics include Blackboard Learn, Panopto, podium tools, Turnitin, clicker technologies, and app use. To arrange for a visit from the mobile tech team, please contact Jon Manwaring.
